Aluminum chemical symbol Al is the most abundant of the metals and is next in abundance to Oxygen and Silicon among the elements. Aluminum is non-magnetic, non-sparking, white in color and light in weight. Aluminum is used in the manufacturing of transportation equipment, building products, food and beverage packaging and is alloyed with silicon, manganese, magnesium, copper, zinc and iron to produce specification ingot, coil, plate and extrusion.
